There are two ways to play 17Quizz with friends: the friendly duel, for two, and the tournament, a knockout for 4 to 10 players. A friendly duel starts from your friends list; a tournament is joined with a code or a link. Neither changes the ELO ranking.
Adding a friend
In the “Friends” tab, tap “Add a friend”, then enter their username or their 8-character friend code. Once your friend accepts the request, you appear in each other’s list.
You can also share your friend code, or the link to your profile: it opens your profile in the app.
The friendly duel
From your friends list, tap “Invite to duel”. Your friend receives the invitation, and the duel starts as soon as they accept it.
- The rules are those of a duel: 7 questions, 13 seconds each, the best score wins.
- The player who invites chooses the questions: a specific quiz, or the topics of their choice.
- Nothing is at stake: neither the ranking nor your coins change.
Your friends list keeps the record of your friendly duels, wins and losses.
The tournament
A tournament brings together 4 to 10 players in a knockout format. The host creates the room, shares its code or an invitation link, then starts the tournament. Each match is a 7-question duel.
You do not need to be friends in the game to join a tournament: the code is enough. If the number of players does not fill the bracket, some players skip the first round.
