17Quizz is neither a sequel nor a copy of QuizUp, and has no connection with its publishers: it is an independent game, published in France by Ak2rDev.
A live duel
- The game finds you an opponent as close to your ranking as possible.
- You both see the same question at the same time, and each of you has 13 seconds to answer.
- A correct answer is worth 100 points, plus up to 100 points depending on your speed.
- After 7 questions, the best score wins. If the scores are level, the duel is a draw.
An ELO ranking
Every player starts at 1000 points. After a quick duel, the winner takes points from the loser: a few if they were the favourite, more if they were not. Friendly duels and tournaments do not change the ranking.
Quizzes written by players
In 17Quizz, the quizzes are written by the players. Each public quiz has at least 7 questions and is reviewed by a moderator before it is published.
With friends
You can challenge a friend to a friendly duel, or set up a tournament for 4 to 10 players that your friends join with a code or a link. The page Playing a quiz with friends covers both.
